First Treatise Tuhfat-ul-Muwahiddin(A gift from the Monotheists)
First Profressional Earning Joined the civil service of the british East India Company in 1805.

Contributions :

- Brahmo Samaj was setup by him in 1828
- Set up Atmiya Sabha in 1815.
- In 1829 he succesfully passed a legislation against sati with the help of Lord Bentinck.
- Helped in establishing the first 'Public School' in calcutta in 1817.
- In 1822 started his own school called 'Anglo-Hindu School'.
- Also founded Vadanta college with all the then well know subjects.

Publications :

- In 1823 he wrote a treatise on 'The enroachment on the rights of the hindu females'.
- Translated Vedanta (which was in sanskrit) into English, begali and hindi called 'Vedantasar'.
- Also Transalted 'KenoPanishad','IshoPanishad','KathoPanishad',"mandukoPanishad' into Bengali.
- Started bengali weekly sambad kaumudi in 1821 followed by Persion weekly 'Mirat-Ul-Akhbar' and bi-lingual magazine called Brahminical magazine.

Death    :     September 27, !833.

Raja Ram Mohan Roy was a educationist, warrior for social reform, eminent editor  of facts,founder of many educational institutions. He is known as 'Father Of Journalism' ans was the person who sowed the intial seeds of journailsm in India.He is pioneer of modern thought and ushered a new era to our country.
